We typically ship product via one of two methods
  • Fedex (Small parcel)
  • LTL/TL (Truck)

If the order is too small to use an LTL/TL service, shipping cost is calculated based on our real cost of shipping Fedex.  This includes an additional $1.50 to cover handling and packaging, residential delivery charge (if applicable), and hazmat charges if the product is considered hazardous for transportation.

If the cost of shipping an order via UPS is too high, the order may merit the use of an LTL/TL company for shipping.  Our logistics department will obtain a number of quotes for comparison.  The following information is required to quote properly:

  1. Shipping address
  2. Location information (Is this a residence or a business?)
  3. Would the customer be willing to pick up the order at a local freight terminal?
  4. Does the business or residence have a forklift or loading dock?
  5. Is liftgate service required?
  6. Does the customer have a pallet jack with capacity to move 1,700 lbs?

Once several rates have been received, Customer Services will send the customer an invoice using the carrier of their choice, taking into consideration transit time, price and truck availability.

If the customer agrees with the charges, he/she can deposit funds (refer to Forms of Payment document) and the order will be processed according to the Order Processing Document.

Blind shipping and drop shipping are also available.  Blind shipping is where our information doesn't appear on the shipping paperwork.  This helps protect your account to ensure that your customers don't try to go around you and order directly from us.  Drop shipping is where we will deliver direct to your customer on your behalf, instead of shipping to you or your location.

If you have any questions about the above, or would like to get freight estimates, please don't hesitate to call!
